Youth Parliament is a program for young people by young people

The Taskforce has the responsibility of organising the program and is made up of young people under the age of 25. Outside input into the program is consultative and supports the philosophy of youth participationive nature.

Youth Parliament is an apolitical program

The Youth Parliament Program does not subscribe to any political point of view and its operations reflect this. Any person involved will not use the program for political gain or promotion.

Youth Parliament is a YMCA program

The YMCA is an integral part of the program, and the program should reflect the aims and missions of the YMCA in all aspects.

The fundamental goal of Youth Parliament is to provide quality youth opinion in the form of Bills to the State Government

Everything the Youth Parliament Program does contributes to the development of the highest quality bills and debate in order to present the views of young South Australians to Parliament.

Youth parliament is open to ANY young person living in South Australia between the ages of 16 and 25

Youth Parliament represents a diverse range of young people in South Australia.
